Angle Wins Mass Technology Leadership Award
Congratulations to long-time High-Growth CEO Forum® Member Colin Angle, who was named CEO of the
Year at the 12th annual Technology Leadership Awards hosted
by the Mass
Technology Leadership Council, Inc., in
Boston on November 5, 2009. Angle is chairman, CEO and co-founder
of iRobot,
a pioneer in the emerging robot industry.
The Mass Technology Council is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship
and promoting the success of companies that develop and deploy
technology across industry sectors. Its Technology Leadership
Awards honor Massachusetts companies and individuals who best
exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology.
Colin Angle has been a member of the High-Growth
CEO Forum since 2002, and in his award acceptance speech he
thanked the Forum for its role in helping him succeed as a
CEO. According to Angle, “The Forum offers a refreshingly
honest source of support and advice from peers who live on
similar quarterdecks. Its format and strong facilitation differentiate
it from other groups I have seen.”
Angle previously has been honored as a Mass
High Tech All-Star, one of Fortune Small Business Magazine’s
Best Bosses and New England Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst
and Young with iRobot co-founder Helen Greiner. Angle sits
on the board of directors of Zeo, Inc. and is active on the
Robotics & Intelligent Machines (RIM) advisory board.

teamed up with their professor Dr. Rodney Brooks with the
vision of making practical robots a reality. In 2008 iRobot
