Boston, MA, March 16, 2009 – The Catlin
& Cookman Group announces that they will expand their
business to the Southeast, opening operations in Charlotte,
NC to offer their successful, trademarked High-Growth CEO
Forums. The Forums provide a unique opportunity for investor-backed
CEOs to work together on their individual business issues.
The Catlin & Cookman Group has selected
Susan T. Gauff to lead the Southeast operations. Ms. Gauff
comes to Catlin & Cookman with extensive experience in
business consulting and senior-level corporate positions.
As founder of The Growth Solutions Group, Ms. Gauff has worked
closely with senior executive teams, coaching leaders to put
strategy into action. She has also held C-level leadership
positions with Sarnoff Corp., Lexmark International and Siemens
Communications Systems.
Operating in the Boston area for 10 years, the
High-Growth CEO Forums have 70+ members participating worldwide.
Boston members alone represent $445M in funding and over $580M
in revenue. On average, member companies have experienced
75% CAGR after one year of membership. Ninety-eight
percent of participants continue their membership after the
first year.
“I am pleased to be associated with a
firm which has such an extraordinary track record,”
said Ms. Gauff. “Since 1998, dozens of emerging growth
companies have led their organizations to significant and
sustainable growth by applying ideas and best practices they’ve
gained through participation in High-Growth CEO Forums.”
Many of these CEOs, from companies such as Constant Contact,
iRobot and e-Dialog, have credited the forums with being “fundamental
to my success” and “my most valuable sounding
board.”
The first two Forums will convene in Raleigh
and Atlanta. Made up of six to twelve members, founding members
in each city will determine the group’s general direction
and have approval on additional new members. Expansion to
Columbia and Greenville, SC, Florida and Virginia is expected
over time.
Unique to the CEO peer group category, High-Growth
CEO Forum offers a personalized problem-solving approach to
each member’s individual challenges. Typical topics
include managing through the current economic turbulence,
building a world-class management team and implementing best
practices for dynamic growth. Open by invitation only to investor-backed
companies, the Forums always cover topics highly relevant
to specific needs.
All High-Growth CEO Forums use the depth and
relevance of the Catlin & Cookman Group’s intellectual
property including Katherine Catlin’s co-authored books
Leading at the Speed of Growth and Building the Awesome Organization
published by The Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
The process includes cutting edge tools, models and Performance
